Chassis Brake Air Circuit Knowledge Introduction--Air Handling Unit (with four-circuit air dryer)

(1):The compressed air from the air compressor enters into the A chamber through the 1 port, and the condensate produced by the temperature reduction gathers in the exhaust valve B. When the air passes through the filter C, ring channel D and desiccant (molecular sieve) E, the water is adsorbed on the surface of the desiccant and between the gaps of the particles.
(2): After drying the air through the F chamber, through the diagonal hole G, a part of the gas through the check valve H directly from the 22 port output to the four circuit protection valve; another part of the gas through the throttling holes J role in the diaphragm K, so that the diaphragm K downward arch, the gas through the return hole L to 22 port. At the same time part of the gas through the screen M, open the valve N, into the O chamber.
(3): In the process of air intake, part of the gas acting on the diaphragm K through the small hole P to reach the regulator diaphragm chamber Q on the diaphragm R. When the air pressure at the outlet 22 reaches the opening pressure of the dryer, the air pressure overcomes the force of the spring S and opens the valve T. The gas enters the top of the exhaust piston W through the small hole U (indicated by the double dotted line) and pushes the exhaust piston W to open the exhaust valve B. The gas in the A chamber and the condensate are discharged from the exhaust port 3.
(4): At the moment of exhaust, due to the drop of air pressure at the diagonal hole G, the check valve H is closed, the 22-port air pressure will be reversed back through the reflux holes L, throttle holes J back and forth to the drying cylinder, attached to the surface of the desiccant moisture and impurities will be discharged from the 3-port along with the compressed air. At the same time in the reflux valve N closed, when the diaphragm K on the edge of the pressure drops to its closing pressure, reflux end.
